For most games shader generation takes only a few milliseconds, but for a few demanding titles, the shaders that they generate are so large that they can result in noticeable stuttering, in severe cases pauses of over a second may occur. ![]() Shaders have to be generated though, and since GC/Wii games are not designed to create shaders ahead of time as a PC game would, when a new effect appears Dolphin has to delay the CPU thread while the GPU thread performs the compilation a pause that does not exist on the consoles. Modern computers and mobile systems do not work in this way, requiring the use of shaders as an intermediary so your system's GPU can perform the tasks that the GC and Wii GPU performed directly. The GC and Wii have no concept of shaders - everything is executed directly by the hardware without an intermediate programming language (API). Xenoblade Chronicles is one of the most susceptible titles to shader compilation stuttering. To avoid this issue, you can simply disable Immediately Present XFB or Vsync in Dolphin. But around 35 of them contain portions of the New Testament. Many of them were secular, pertaining to business contracts, letters, and literature. In 1898, thousands of papyrus fragments were found in the ancient garbage dumps of Oxyrhynchus, Egypt. The earliest manuscripts on papyrus are divided into three primary groups: the Oxyrhynchus Papyri, the Chester Beatty/Michigan Papyri, and the Bodmer Papyri. (“Codex” refers to the book form used exclusively by Christians for making copies of Biblical writings.) Both date to the early fourth century. The earliest complete copies of the New Testament are Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus. The papyri are followed by uncials, minuscule, and finally, lectionaries. Generally speaking, if we were to list these groups out in chronological order, the earliest group is the papyri. The earliest were written on papyrus while the latest are written on paper. New Testament manuscripts are usually found on vellum or parchment. Lectionaries – these are manuscripts that are arranged for daily study and meditation.Minuscules were written in a type of cursive. Uncials were written in all capital letters. Uncials and Minuscules – these are the writing styles of the documents. The papyri are the earliest “direct witness to the New Testament autographs” (Comfort & Barret, 2001). While the material on which they are written is valuable because of their rarity, the date that they were written is most important. The papyrus manuscripts are among the most important when reconstructing the text of the New Testament. Papyri – these manuscripts are identified by the material they are made of.Greek manuscripts are the primary documents that determine the wording of the New Testament. How can we know what we read is an accurate representation of the original text? Could we have wound up with copies that do not resemble the original at all? Before answering those questions, there are some important basics we should go over. Instead of being cause for alarm, the preservation of the New Testament is a living testimony to the unmatched power and providence of God. We are left with thousands of handwritten copies written in a variety of languages. The original, handwritten twenty-seven books of the New Testament most likely disappeared within a few decades after being written. ![]() If he can have success in planting seeds of doubt regarding the veracity of Scripture, there is no limit on how far he can go in pushing his agenda of turning the hearts of men and women away from God. Satan desires to deceive us into thinking our own personal will is to be the standard for life. This attitude has its origin in our adversary. While media attention to the book and the 2006 movie based on it has died down, the skepticism western culture has toward the Biblical record abounds. Near the end of the year we are planning to publish these twelve articles in book form (Kindle, Nook and old fashioned print and ink). We wish this series to help everyone understand the process of the Bible's history as a document and why we can have confidence in its message. This is especially so given the climate of society today and its attitudes toward the Bible. Can the New Testament be trusted? Has it been corrupted through time? Can we know what God has said? It should be obvious how important this topic is. The 2013 series is called "The Integrity of the New Testament" and deals with textual criticism. Neither would allow any room for a Cup of LIber-Tea! For that matter, Killzone is glum, glum, glum. I think a Warhammer 40K twin-stick shooter by Arrowhead would also be wonderful - so many unit types to play with - but I think Arrowhead's sense of humor would be stifled by Games Workshop's rules. Guerilla Games already did a Killzone FPS for the PS4 launch. So I had this weird dream where Arrowhead did a Killzone twin-stick co-op blaster. Killzone Liberation (overhead twin-stick basically) was one of my favorite Sony PSP games. The cool armor and helmet they unlocked for Early Access players like me reminded me of the Hellghast in Sony's Killzone games: So I was playing KILLING FLOOR 2 (my other co-op favorite on Steam last night). But if we want to get the thread going on "here's what I'd like to see, if anything further could happen with Helldivers," this is my current thinking, better or worse. Probably, none of that will happen, and we won't get a sequel or further content. I think the game could do more with weapons personal customizations, beyond what we can do at the armory kiosk on our ship. Maybe some weapons hardware tweaks (larger ammo clips at cost of some dps tying two SMGs together dual pistols etc.). Maybe special kinds of ammo (incendiary, radioactive, ricochet, etc.) as a type of treasure, sorta. But maybe you could put something beyond samples. Maybe adding a basic loot system is out of the question. You accomplish certain objectives on the existing map to unlock access to its underground area - a dungeon if you will. imho that could add some substantive new content that's regularly available later in campaigns, as a bit of community reward for progressing.Īnd ya know, maybe that might spur Arrowhead to create a couple new enemy units for each faction, which you only face on those "Home Base" maps.Īnother idea inspired from other games I've played or read about might be to expand existing maps by connecting them to procedurally generated underground areas. Take out the Illuminates, and we get temp access to some Illuminate Home Mega Space ship mission/map. Like maybe when we take down the Bugs faction, we unlock temporary access to some special Bug Home World mission/environment set. And I don't mean Enemy Master or Retaliatory Strike maps where you're dumped in a claustrophobic location - more some new maps that sprawl. So why not a few more fresh environments like that - but different - which we get to play when the campaign goes a certain direction. That the fact we only get to play those maps on occasion, depending on how the campaign goes, is good (as another player on forums here pointed out to me). ![]() that'd probably only happen via sequel not content updates.Īs far as content, I've come around to the idea that more of the Super Earth city defense stuff would be not a good thing. So I'd favor new content for Helldivers too, though if people wanted more technically from Helldivers - better graphics, textures etc. Heck, Turbine shut down Asheron's Call 2 first - keeping Asheron's call running because it (the sequel) never had the player base/loyalty the first AC had. ![]() You see this with all sorts of sequels in different genres. Even if they connected both games to the same global campaign, they'd be watering down the number of available players in each Helldivers game. Rationally speaking, I don't see Helldivers 2 happening in part because Arrowhead would probably not want two separate pools of players spread across two co-op games. ![]() ![]() ![]() No 3: Performance Issue - Huge Savegame filesizes with 10ks of entries to load This result is based on a one-terminal zoned layout or can also happen with multi terminal, when you build sattelite buildings.īest would be similar to service car parks or terminal zones, that you can assign staff to specific staff rooms and they only catch up jobs close around whenever possible. ![]() Staff rooms close to that gates are never been used as the staff gets new jobs on the other side of the airport. Passenger Service Agents and Ramp Agents do not reach gates far awai from the main terminal area on time. No 2: Gameplay Issue - Staff does not get on job site on time The blocking of the whole path was introduced in A34, before that version it worked well. Arrival and Pushback delays of 1-2 ingame hours are normal then. While that plane blocks then the path of a third plane and so on. As planes choose a random runway instead the closest one, it happens all the time, that planes block the whole path between runway and stand. No 1: Gameplay Issue - Taxiway blocking of aircraftsĪ huge airport means long distances between runway and stand. On all the douzends of oversized airports I’ve built during this time, there was always a point where the same 4 main issues were the reasons why the game went unplayable. Issues which can appear are always caused when FPS drops down as too many objects, persons, flights or zones have to be calculated. I am playing now since 10 months most of my ACEO time on maps with expanded map sizes between 900x900 to 1200x1200 and I can say there has been never game bug which couldn’t be reproduced in a normal sized savegame. Although black and white troops served in separate platoons, this experience helped the Army break with its usual practice of placing African American troops in separate units and assigning them to non-combat duties. Some 2,500 African American troops volunteered. With only 80,000 Allied troops available in the area to resist the German forces, black troops were invited to volunteer to fight alongside white troops. In December, 1944, 250,000 German troops launched a massive counteroffensive, later known as the Battle of the Bulge, in Belgium. Military necessity helped to shatter racial barriers. In mid-1944, the War Department ordered all buses to be operated in a non-discriminatory fashion. In March 1943, the War Department ordered the desegregation of recreational facilities at military facilities. ![]() It was during World War II that the policy of racial segregation within the military began to break down under pressure from African American leaders, who pointed out the contradiction of a country fighting Nazi racism having a segregated military. This policy remained intact through the Spanish American War, World War I (when two African American divisions participated in combat), and World War II. In 1869, Congress made racial separation in the military official government policy. It was not until the Civil War that African Americans were required to fight in racially separate units. An African American minuteman, Prince Easterbrooks, a slave, was wounded at the battle of Lexington, and, altogether, some 5,000 African Americans fought for American independence during the Revolution despite British promises of freedom to any slaves who defected to the Loyalist side.
